Membership Policies & About KNFC
Membership Policies
Effective July 1, 2011
Standard Annual Membership: $25/year. Household Membership: $35/year (includes a maximum of 2 adults and any children under 18 who share meals on a regular basis). Lifetime Membership Option: $250 one-time payment.
Members receive 5% off all normal purchases at the store. Student Annual Membership: $15/year — offered to students of any college or university and includes the same standard discount privileges and ordering benefits.
Members may make special pre-orders of bulk or case quantities. For such orders, Members pay only 25% above wholesale cost (pre-paid deposit required). Non-members receive a 10% discount off retail price for pre-orders.
About KNFC & Volunteering
We are a community-owned store. Purchasing a membership not only entitles you to a discount at the register, but makes you a part owner in the Co-op.
Volunteering is appreciated, though not required. Members receive an additional 2% discount for each hour logged in a month, up to 25% off, applied for the entire following month. Operational decisions are made by our Board with input from volunteer committees; members are encouraged to attend meetings and participate.
All meeting times/locations and copies of our by-laws are posted at the store. Receive volunteer hours for attending meetings and participating on committees or the board — ask a staffperson for details or to become a member.

Do I have to be a member to shop?
No. Everyone is welcome to shop at KNFC. Membership simply provides additional benefits like discounts, and voting rights.
How do I sign up?
Visit the store and fill out a membership application, or contact us to get started by mail.
What if I move away?
Sorry, but membership cannot be transferred or refunded.
Are reduced rates available?
Only students qualify for reduced membership rates.
How can I get more involved?
Members can volunteer, serve on committees, run for the Board of Directors, or simply spread the word about the co-op.
